We’ve already bid farewell to shorts, sunglasses and sun creams, as fall is reigning at the moment. However, the new season does not mean that you should not pay attention to the way that you look – fall, too, requires each and every one of us to look our best.
But what is different? What are the things that you have to bear in mind if you really want to look dapper during fall and winter as well?
Stay tuned as we will try to present to you the 5 most important things you need to pay attention to in order to bring out the best in you:
1. Work on that head
Looking hot and having a neat and fresh hairstyle is not only important for spring and summer, as people will get to see your hairstyle in autumn and winter as well. Yes, it might be cold, and having a fresh haircut might make it even colder for your head, but that’s no reason not to visit your barber regularly. In order to save time and be warm in the comfort of your own home for as long as possible, you can always book your appointment online while still drinking that hot cup of coffee on your sofa.
Having an on-point hairstyle and beard is very important, as this is the only part of the body that’s visible during the cold months, so use it!
2. Keep your hair safe
Fall and winter are generally cold months, and apart from making us put on some extra layers of clothing, this air definitely affects our hair. Cold air can deteriorate the state of our hair if we don’t pay some extra attention to it, but not only that – due to winds and rain, our hairstyle is very prone to becoming messy and totally unpresentable. The most important thing as far as this is concerned is to always have a good pomade in your bathroom, and if you have somewhat longer hair, use a hair gel with maximum hold as you don’t want your hairdo to get ruined only because of the cold weather and the wind, do you?
3. Fashion, baby
You might not have the chance anymore to show your big guns while wearing the best sleeveless tee that you have or different, colorful t-shirts with shorts and summer sneakers, but fall and winter are about something totally different. This is the season for you to be classy – equip yourself with excellent sweaters and turtlenecks, good trousers and leather shoes. For special occasions, you could browse around and find some of the best men’s suits that you will rock. Make sure that they are tailored though, as you want to follow the latest fashion and wear something that is actually custom-made for yourself and your body type. Each person should have a tailored suit in their closet, and fall and winter are definitely the seasons during which you want to wear it.
4. Beard to the rescue!
There are two types people in the world – the ones who rock their beard throughout the whole year, and the ones who support No Shave November and then simply continue not shaving for the rest of the winter. This is a great idea, though; as a beard is the best sunblock ever and we definitely need one during the cold months as well. It will also protect your skin from the cold and keep it moist. Apart from that, having a styled beard is extremely fashionable, and it seems that this trend is here to stay. However, if you opt for this step, make sure to style your beard regularly, as there’s nothing worse than a bushy, unmaintained beard.
5. Skincare is important
And finally, it’s time to actually start to appreciate the Holy Trinity of the face – moisturizing, exfoliating and cleansing. Your skin won’t get a lot of moisture come fall and winter due to the dryness of the air, so it’s very important to consider moisturizing two times per day – in the morning and before going to bed. However, in order for the moisturizer to penetrate the skin, you need to exfoliate and thus get rid of the dead skin cells.
Finally, make sure to cleanse your face regularly – you don’t need a strong cleanser during fall and winter as there’s not a lot of sweat on your face, but make sure to use a gentle one.
Nothing sounds difficult, does it? That’s why there’s no reason for you not to take our tips into account. After all, this is how you will look your best this fall.
