As time goes by, men’s hairstyle changes constantly, but many of the iconic hairdos, just like Pompadour are timeless.
It is worth to mention that, Pompadour originates from the 18th Century France and it is named after the mistress of King Louis XV.
Needless to say, the contemporary, modern men’s hairstyle only has a slight resemblance to the old-time female aristocrat’s hairdo.
Why to choose Pompadour?
The hairstyle can be elegant or casual, it usually suits men of all ages and face shapes. You will need a good length of hair.
The contemporary pompadour has become a sought-after hairstyle, thanks to celebrities like David Beckham, Brad Pitt and Zack Efron. We are sure you can rock Pompadour this summer, just like the King of Rock’n’Roll did!
How to cut Pompadour?
Cut an inch or half-inch on the top, keep it long so you can play with it! After cutting the top, you can style the Pompadour using a round brush and a hair dryer, start at the back of the head and roll the brush backwards while pushing the hair forward and upward. Pomade is perfect for styling!
Now you can cut the sides and the back, the grades depend on the length you wish to achieve. For shorter sides you can use grade 0.5(and then gradually blend). For longer sides you can do scissors, clipper over comb cut or long grades 6-7.
Finish it off with the lines around the neck and ears. You should keep neck clean and tidy in a natural way.
